After 10 years working as a cook and recipe developer with a consuming gardening and houseplant hobby, Sarah realized that she had the job/ hobby arrangement backwards. In 2014 she began maintaining gardens for a few neighbors and friends in her spare time and in 2016 she quit her job as a research chef for a food manufacturer and took a full-time job as a fine gardener, which is even more fun and satisfying than she'd hoped. Some of her favorite garden tasks are aesthetic pruning and renovating climbing roses. Sarah is a member of the New England Wildflower Society and the Massachusetts Horticultural Society, and is a NOFA Accredited Organic Land Care Professional as well as a Mass Certified Horticulturist. On rare occasions that she's not gardening, Sarah still enjoys baking bread and experimenting with barbecue techniques, as well as training for marathons and swimming.
